ADMINISTRATIVE BLOCK

The Administrative block is the backbone the School. A fully computerized management front & back office with school management software, a stationary store, audio visual facilities for seminars, workshops, meetings & training for teachers & staff. A spacious lobby for parents and visitors are the other highlights of the administrative block.

ACADEMIC BLOCK

The magnificent academic building is for all the classes. Split level planning ensures ample light and proper ventilation to enhance the comfort level. In addition to classrooms, the building also has libraries, computer laboratory, science laboratories, music room, dance room, drama room, teacher resource room and much more. The higher preparatory section has a separate library and computer room for the toddlers. A separate play area is also restricted for the exclusive use of the small children.

The airy and spacious classrooms are well designed, subject-oriented with plenty of natural light and ventilation that can comfortably accommodate 50 students with ample working space.

LIBRARY

An ultra-modern computerized library will act as a resource center accommodating carefully selected volumes at the disposal of the students as well as the staff. Besides acting as a very comfortable and ideal platform for self study, it also has a treasure of a variety of resource materials like journals, magazines, computer software etc. which enhance the growth process.

MUSIC ROOM

School provides a wide spectrum of opportunities for students in the field of music. We believe that real enjoyment is enjoyment with self, it’s not having things, but in having mastery & victory over oneself. To enjoy the spirit of music, it is practiced with the help of a whole array of instruments available in the well equipped music room.

LANGUAGE LABORATORY

Language means communication. Learning of language is an ongoing process. The approach now a day is on scientific & communicative methods. Acquiring linguistic perfection is the basic aim of the language laboratory.

AUDIO-VISUAL LABORATORY

Spacious air – conditioned audio-visual laboratory with a capacity to accommodate over 200 students. This will be utilized for multimedia presentations also. There is an excellent collection of films and documentaries based on education and also for entertainment. This laboratory will definitely facilitate interactive learning.

ART ROOM

Practicing art bring peace and a sense of happiness to the minds. A separate art studio caters the need of different types of art from basic drawing, sketching and painting to professional.

COMPUTER CENTER

Small opportunities are often the beginning of great achievements. Knowledge of computers is inculcated in the student’s right from the primary section. The separate computer center for primary and secondary students is equipped with modern and latest hardware and software. Well trained teaching staff as well as technical staff give ample guidance and cater to the needs of the students.

STAFF ROOM

Separate staff rooms are provided for the teaching staff.

OTHER FACILITIES

Adequate toilet facilities and drinking water facilities are provided at convenient places in the school building.

Baluni Public School believes in holistic education and does not focus merely on academic growth of its students. In an age where besides academic excellence other aspects of a harmonious personality are also treated as very important values in a student. Baluni Public School, by incorporating several co-curricular activities into curriculum, strives to lend a cutting edge to the students and help them stand tall in the crowd. These activities are conducted through various Inter House activities at different levels and groups. A wide array of literary, cultural sports and art related activities is conducted in a scheduled and well worked out manner which spreads over the entire academic year. The students are encouraged and guided to participate and win in these activities. The winners are awarded Certificates of Merit. However, more than winning, participation is stressed upon.

Physical fitness is one of the most important elements of leading a healthy life. Physical education promotes the importance of inclusion of a regular fitness activity in the routine. This helps the students to maintain their fitness, develop their muscular strength, increase their stamina and thus stretch their physical abilities to an optimum level. Sports help inculcate discipline, self confidence, team spirit, sense of belonging, pride, achievement and self esteem. Students also understand that victory and defeat is an ongoing process.

BPS hosts large playgrounds & dedicated sporting arenas to be used by the students to play & fine tune their skills in outdoor & indoor games.

A fully equipped multi-gym with exercise equipments is available in the sports room under the supervision of trained instructors.

Special coaching classes will be available after school hours for Cricket, Tennis, and Swimming, where children will be trained to participate in various Interschool competitions.

To foster healthy competition, team spirit, leadership and fair play, all students of the school are divided into four Houses. Each House is headed by one student known as House Captain who is assisted by a Vice Captain and some prefects. One teacher, assisted by a few other teachers, is appointed to oversee the House activities. Points are awarded to the students throughout the year for their performance in academics, cultural, literary and sports activities, discipline and behavior and the House getting the highest marks is adjudged the Best House of the Year. The student appointees of each House are also responsible for maintaining discipline on the school premises.
